Night Photo of Speedway Gets National Exposure
11.25.2008
A photo of Bristol Motor Speedway at night taken by a local agency was selected for use in a nation-wide Sprint advertising campaign. The photo, taken at night from outside the facility, was interesting enough to be found by a national photography researcher enlisted to find imagery for Sprint's new Instinct phone advertising. The photo was taken by Ben Collins of The Bliss Agency in Bristol, TN, in the Spring of 2008. "The perspective was unique — I was standing at the highest elevation available at All American Campgrounds near White Top road." The final image is a combination of exposures. Because of the many different light sources, Mr. Collins resorted to combining multiple images into one. "The goal was to show really how the speedway's lights up Bristol's night."
It will be used in various national magazines, newspapers in Puerto Rico, and kiosks in New York's JFK Airport.
